Formula:

Each tablet contains:

Meloxicam 4.0 mg

Excipients q.s.ad.

Indications:

Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory and analgesic (NSAID). Relieves inflammation and pain in acute and chronic musculoskeletal pathologies of canines. Indicated in arthritis, osteoarthritis, hip dysplasia, osteoarthrosis, pre and post-operative of orthopedic and / or soft tissue surgeries, trauma, dental surgeries, etc.

Route of administration and dosage:

It is administered orally. Each tablet contains 4 mg of Meloxicam.

The initial treatment is a single dose of 0.2 mg of Meloxicam / kg body weight the first day, continuing with a maintenance dose of 0.1 mg of Meloxicam / kg body weight per day for 10 days or according to the discretion of the acting Professional. In post-surgical use, 2 -3 days of treatment are recommended to relieve pain.

Limitations of use:

Do not use in dogs less than 6 weeks old or in dogs with gastrointestinal disorders, liver, heart or kidney dysfunction or with bleeding disorders. It is not recommended for use during pregnancy or lactation. Do not administer in dogs with hypersensitivity to the active ingredient or together with other NSAIDs or glucocorticoids

It is recommended to avoid its use in dehydrated, hypovolemic or hypotensive animals.

It is rare but in some cases there may be typical adverse reactions to NSAIDs such as anorexia, vomiting, diarrhea or lethargy. If this occurs, discontinue treatment and consult a veterinarian.
