Formula:

Each 100 mL contains:

Sodium iodide                                                       30 g

Excipients q.s.ad.                                               100 mL

Indications:

Actinomycosis, actinobacilosis, fungal dermatitis (skin streptothrichosis).

Properties and effectiveness:

ACTINOMIC composition makes this product in its preparation the choice for the treatment of actinomycosis and actinobacilosis in bovines. In the second disease the results are spectacular while in the first, in advanced cases, it is necessary to supplement the treatment with surgery.

Iodides exert their effect by decreasing the severity of fibrous tissue reaction.

Route of administration and dosage:

The ACTINOMIC is administered intravenously slowly.

As soon as symptoms occur, administer a 100 mL dose.

If improvement is not obvious, repeated after 72 hours.

Precautions:

It should not be given to pregnant animals.

The treatment should be suspended if modisme signs appear (lacrimation, anorexia and skin peeling).

The wronly subcutaneous administration determines an intense irritation.
