Formula:

Each 100 mL contains:

Florphenicol 30 g

Excipients q.s.ad. 100 mL

 

Indications:

Bacteriostatic antibiotic, fluorinated nitrobenzene derivatives (Chloramphenicol and Thiamphenicol), with greater range of action and safety (it does not have adverse-effects).

It acts against infections produced by positive and negative Gram germs and some anaerobic germs; generally infections caused by germs sensitive to Floranphenicol.

For respiratory diseases treatment: bacterial pneumonia, (including complex respiratory bovine disease or shipping fever); scouring calves; keratoconjunctivitis; pododermitis infectious, footrot, acute interdigital necro-basilosis; genital tract infections, endometritis; prostatitis; arthritis; etc., general infections.

 

Target species:

Bovine, equine and swine.

 

Withdrawal period:

Bovine meat: IM = 28 days, SC = 38 days; after last application in both cases.

Swine meat: 28 days after last application; (injection site: 21 days).

Not to be used in lactation animal whose milk is destined to human consumption. Not to be used in dairy cows older than 20 months, nor to calves younger than 1 year old.

Not to be used in equine intended for human consumption.

 

Route of administration:

Parenteral, intramuscular or subcutaneous injection preferably, in the nape of neck zone or neck table solely.

 

Dosage

Bovines: 10 mL every 150 kg of weight by I/M route, repeat in 48 hours.

As preventive or when there is high possibility to develop “bovine respiratory disease complex” or in cases of pneumonia, administer only one dose by S/C route of 10 mL/75 kg of weight. ,

Swine: 1 mL/20 kg or 1 mL/30 kg of weight, in pneumonias case repeat in 48 hours or until symptoms remission, with 48 hours of interval between applications.

Equine: 22 mg/kg of weight, repeat in 48 hrs.

Do not administer more than 10 ml per inoculation point.

If after 3 days from the first inoculation the animal improvement is not obtained, it is recommended to re-evaluate the diagnosis.
